Chalkboard Painted Glitter Shakers

15 Minutes
Easy
It was time to switch out some of the old spices. Since I was in need of containers for glitter, these spice bottles became chalk board painted glitter shakers.
I tend to buy whatever is cheaper or on sale. Glitter is no exception. Sometimes you get what you pay for. This last batch of glitter shakers wouldn’t even stay closed. So a lot of it was wasted.. I hate that.
I started peeling the labels off of some of the spice bottles when I realized, I could forgo all of that extra work just by painting the labels with chalk board paint.
So, needless to say some of the new glitter shakers have a nice even paint job, while others are a little messy.
Their just.. glitter shakers.. right?

You can use other bottles (for various uses) and chalk (board) paint right over the labels: wine bottles, grated cheese containers, orange juice, cream cheese and sandwich containers.

Tip: Chalk board paint will stick to just about any surface, including glass and plastic, without any priming.
Chalk board painted glitter shakers are a great way to add something special into your work or craft area.
