I don't see where it says what you covered the frame with? They are beautiful and I love them but I don't know what is used on the outside of the frame?

Can you use a cardboard box to make a frame?

Hi Brenda, I'm sure you could use a box however I'm not sure how the light would shine through. Plus if there's bad weather it could easily ruin the box.

Just what IS mesh? Do you leave the back open? Where do yo put the plug through to plug it in?

The cord for the lights runs through the bottom of the "box". The mesh is wrapped around the wire but you could also just leave it open.

Heck you could probably get some dollar tree picture frames and glue them or some paint sticks
