Off White or White is very popular now. I hate to ruin Real Wood though but that is up to the individual. The person who updated our house prior to us purchasing, used a Product called Cabinet Rescue and we thought they were New Cabinets. Lowes

Hi Talmadge, can you tell us a little more about your kitchen, do you have a color pallet that you use or prefer? Do you get a lot of sun or is it dark? A picture would also help us get you some great advice.

I am not a fan of decorating just because it is the fad right now. I want my cupboards red and green as I dearly Love Christmas. Do whatever suits you, not what someone else says you should like.

As stated earlier White is consistently a popular color for kitchens. Gray seems to be gaining ground these days as well. How about gray on the bottom and white on top? Above all have fun and do what you love!

Black is always elegant, or try the new chalk paint for an aged look, and it is very durable.

I just did my kitchen. I had natural oak cabinets, I used General Finishes Chalk Paint. The top cabinets I did in Seagull Gray and the bottoms in a darker shade of gray (I just went to their website and I don't see it listed any more). They came out really well. I had beadboard added to the sides of all my cabinets and my breakfast bar. I just love the look, I have a brand new kitchen with new hardwood floors, new lighting, accessories, etc. Good Luck.
