Carpet Squares in Basement


After working for an architect for over 20 years, I amassed a collection of commercial carpet tiles over the years that were discontinued. I didn't have enough to finish the whole basement ...but I found some at Ollies here in Ohio pretty cheap. So overall, it cost me about $150 to do almost the whole basement, minus one storage area and a raised platform area (which I'm eventually going to do a paper bag

    yes we were in the Air Force also. 8 kids..we only had 3. wow! 8 kids! yikes. I am still impressed with your carpeted floor! did you glue them together or down to the floor or are they loose on the floor? if loose i can see little kids having a good time rearranging ....and i am sure it is not a problem! my great granddaughter woudl rearrange..then rearrange again and again! fun!

    I have about one out of ten with double sided carpet tape to hold them down and keep them all from shifting ....working out quite well that way!
