Applique on Pillowcases to Add Charm

Today I’m sharing how to Applique on Pillowcases to add Charm ….in this case maybe lucky charm…lol. I did these St. Patrick’s Day themed for my niece and thought they would be a lot of fun.
I used to love doing cute things for my daughter for the different holidays and still love to decorate but now that she’s older I can’t do as much of the cutesy stuff and that’s ok.
I found a few pairs of these brand new pillowcases and they are fabulous quality and even have a cute pocket inside the opening that says Aroma so we can put a little lavender in their or even the lucky leprechaun can bring her some money or gold coins too right?
This Green n White Zebra Pottery Barn Kids Sheet was $2.95 and I knew it would be cute to use for shamrocks and make up some fun things for St. Patty’s Day, birthday banners, kids stuff etc.
Now even if shamrocks or pillowcases aren’t your thing, there are so many applique ideas and it’s a good idea to know how. You can applique patches on kids clothes, add cute cutouts like hearts to jackets and tops and of course there are so many options.

One of my absolute favorite things to use is Heat n Bond. You can get it at Walmart or your fabric stores and it’s about $5 for this big roll.
Here’s how they look on the pillowcases. Pretty darn cute huh? Again skies the limit one what you can do. They would be cute with hearts, stars, circle etc.
