Spring Wreath Using Burlap and Denim

I've been reworking some of my old wreaths and when I came across this burlap squares wreath, I thought it would be perfect to use for the March Craft Challenge that challenges crafters to make something using an old pair of jeans.
Using a styrofoam wreath form, I hot glued lots and lots of burlap squares to the form.
I cut squares from an old pair of jeans for some of the flowers. Others were made using the long side seam of doubled fabric from the jeans.
The rosettes are made using the twist and roll method and a pearl head pin is added to the center.
Also, made from the old jeans, I wanted the bird to add a cute spring time touch to the wreath. His legs are cocktails skewers and the wings are from the back pocket of the jeans.
The painted wooden letters are secured onto a paper towel roll which I wrapped in burlap.
Spring time is really trying to break through here. Now I have a fun wreath on the door to welcome its arrival. For more details, click the link below.
