Easy
Craving something to paint and needed storage container to set on fireplace hearth to hold indoor bird seeds and dog food.
Finished product.
Going to try to make myself learn to put elastic around that fabric to look like olden time sleep cap for easy usage. Haven't sewed since home-ec class in high school over 25 years ago, ha!
ugly, ugly, ugly but sturdy and FREE
We all know how ridiculously priced plastic containers are to buy.
Three coats of Annie Sloan's, Paris Gray .
Then a wash of her country gray and added stencil in pure white. Sorry, I get going on projects and forget to take photos. For the glaze I just dipped a baby wipe in the country grey and smeared on a section at a time then lightly wiped some off until I got a frosted look I liked .
Another look at completed project. I tied with twine some large dinner napkins for the top to cover that unattractive part.
another painted cat litter container
Painted old violet and this was my first attempt at mod podge image transfer. Looks ok enough to store dog food in anyway, ha! Image from graphics fairy. Great thing about plastic. It's great, free practice material! I sprayed all with a matte clear coat as will get heavy use. Happy creating out there! 😄😄
