In March of last year my fellow gardening fanatic Aunt called me up to tell me about a garden center hosting a make your own indoor fairy garden event. My daughter and I started our fairy garden outside around 5 years ago and making one to have indoors was a no brainer. Besides it was March in Michigan and had been a very long, freezing winter and we needed to shake our cabin fever and get our green thumb on! Yesterday I really thought our little plants were outgrowing the little pot so it was time to upgrade!
Original Fairy Garden 2014
We managed to cram a lot of Christmas accessories in this little pot in December!
We bought a beautiful new pot at Menards added pebbles in the bottom and fresh potting mix. Transplanted the remaining plants from the old pot and even added a few new growth succulents from outside.
new blue glass stones from the dollar store for the "water feature". and some other accessories from our surplus.
Cover with Spanish moss and done! We decorate our outdoor fairy garden for Halloween but after that we have to pack it up and put it away. The indoor fairy garden allows us to change accessories with the seasons!
