Shabby Glam Dresser

I took a vintage chest of drawers that had been previously painted in oil based paint and gave it a new, glam look!
Someone had once glued a piece of laminate to the top. The laminate was "stuck like glue" lol and wasn't going anywhere. Instead of trying to hack it off piece by piece, I used chalk paint to cover the entire dresser. Chalk paint adheres to laminate without any problem. I used a custom mix chalk paint in a creamy white with a very slight touch of pale pink.
I took out the drawers and set them on my floor. I stood them on their backs with the fronts facing up (towards the ceiling) and lined them up as they would be in the dresser.
Taking a stencil, I stenciled a design over all of the drawers. By lining them up (step above) I was able to repeat the stencil design properly. This way the pattern repeats on all of the drawers so when placed back in the dresser. the pattern is straight.
Here is a closeup of the gold stencil with the original brass pulls. I used Martha Stewart antique gold paint for the stencil and cleaned the pulls before replacing them back in the drawers.
