Custom Built Welcome Bench
by
Clydia Mangold
(IC: blogger)
Eddie built this super sturdy bench from an antique bed frame we found at our local auction.
Our supplies were:
- Headboard
- Footboard
- Rail
- Pine boards
- Plaster Paint Espresso, Toasted Marshmallow, Sweet Cream
- Stain in Jacobean & Provincial
- Old white t-shirts
- Liquid wax in a matte finish
- 3 chip brushes
We created a two tone finish that was heavily distressed and glazed. I hand lettered the WELCOME on the back so this little bench is perfect for the front porch. We'd love for you to head on over to our blog, Three Mango Seeds, to see the entire process.
