Paper Mache Easter Eggs

Our local pet assistance Thrift Store had these paper mache balls for .50 each, so I bought 2. Someone took a lot of time making these. Once home, hubby got out his Dremel kit and cut my drawn opening for me. I then went to my craft supplies and got out a beautiful blue spray paint and glitter. It took SEVERAL coats of paint and on the last coat, I sprinkled the glitter all over and inside too. It took 2 days because I wanted the paint pretty dry before I started to decorate. I also put heavy twine in the hole on the top (where the balloon came out) so the egg could hang.
This is the smaller egg that I decided I would keep. I dug out some paper grass and a small wood bunny and egg. I also hot glued 2 layers of smaller twine around the outside opening.
The larger egg I decided I would make for a friend who loves crosses, so I made one out of driftwood that I have collected and I made the paper sign "He Lives". I glued in floral foam to the bottom of the egg and then glued the wood into it. I put Spanish moss around the bottom. I had some white silk flowers that I colored purple and yellow and hot glued them in the moss. I also made a thick twine hanger and on this egg opening, I glued one layer of thin twine. My friend LOVED it!!
