Laminate floors over tile?

Has anyone had good luck with installing laminate floors over porcelain tile? My tile has no cracks, but I am just sick of it.

My laminate floors were installed over (really ugly) tile 5 years ago. That, in itself, has been no problem. My issue is that I find I DETEST laminate flooring. It was a big, expensive mistake that I regret. Every. Single. Day. I wish I could go back and have a "do-over." When my budget allows, the laminate will be ripped out and replaced with luxury vinyl planks.

@Shari Tiles are fairly smooth, but grout is indented. . . hmmm. Will just have to go examine the stuff @ H.D. Thanks again Shari!

@Shari No, my son and I will do it. You are probably right about them wanting the installation money.
