A Client came to us and wanted something unique for these little side tables. She saw some signs I had made on barnwood that I had applied a transfer to. She loved the French lettering so I told her that I would do something with the tables that she would love. She also bought a very old gate table and wanted the set all to be painted in Cottage Paint - Creme Brule.
Painted in Creme Brule and transfer applied to drawers.
This is a shot of the transfer only half done. You will notice the lower drawer is still quite opaque. Still needs to be rubbed off and allowed to dry. Then, all that needed to be done was to finish off with Plaster Paint wax, which is one of the easiest waxes I have ever used.
Here is a picture of the gate table - although the client didn't ask for the transfer I knew they were all going into the same room. The gate table had a small drawer so I applied the same transfer as a surprise for her. I think it looks sweet...fingers crossed she will like it too!
Pretty legs on the gate table.
Here is a close up of the small drawer on gate table.
Client LOVED the end result. What do you think? For more information visit our website www.torontoshabbychic.com or Facebook Group Page www.facebook.com/torontoshabbychic - We are a proud member of OFPN (Ontario Furniture Painters Network)
