Fun and Original Garden Art by Somewhat Quirky Design

My Favorite Garden Art. Ever. I made this sun about 3 years ago and never realized I hadn't posted it here. It was made with a board from a trashed fence panel and a bunch of scraps from some rough hewn oak.
I connected the three cut pieces for the front with some scrap molding that had been hanging around for a while.
And rounded it out a bit with a jig saw.
The sunbeams were cut making random angles with the chop saw.
I brought it inside and stamped on the words. I wanted it to be messy. Maybe not quite so off-center, but at least crooked...
I painted the sunbeams with some random yellow paint that I had.
I think I was able to make it a little more "round" and centered by where I put the pieces of wood.
I love how rugged it is. And I love the poem. There is more info on the blog if you want to check it out. The link is below. I also made this project again on a much larger scale. You can see that [url=http://www.somewhatquirkydesign.com/2013/07/sun-garden-art-again.htmlHERE.[/url]
