Rustic Coffee Table
Found this old metal trunk. I was still in good shape but the handles on the side where broken, and the lock in front didn't work. Other then that it had great bones.
I wanted to make it looks rustic with a touch of a drift wood look. I painted it first with Old White, then used a cheap paint brush to apply a gray paint to imitate old wood.
My husband added the legs for me.I painted them gray, and used a liming wax method to highlight the wood grain.
I also embellished the top corner with a weathered look ancore.
Here it is. A very rustic coffee table.
I left the inside original, I just painted the top tray in the Old White.
