Gold Striped Feature Wall

We've been working hard on the girls' new rooms. One thing I've learned through this process is that my wants and their wants don't always match! My oldest daughter and I were chatting about what she wanted, and when she said "shiny," I knew immediately what I wanted to do. I got her approval and we ran with it.
I've been eyeing the Modern Masters metallic paints for a while now. I'm big into gold, so shiny gold stripes were the obvious choice for her "shiny" request! We measured out the wall (details on how we did it are on my blog) and got ready to paint.
The metallic paint was so easy to work with, especially with the paint extender and metallic paint roller cover. The coverage was even and ended up looking almost like gold leaf.
I am thrilled with how this came out! And more importantly, my daughter absolutely loves it. She oohed and ached and gave me the biggest hug ever when she saw it finished. You can't ask for more than that! Well, I can ask if she'll let me share her room!
