What type of plants and decor can work for the curb appeal of my house

I am trying to make my home look more welcoming from the outside. A raised flower bed and entrance to the house is bare now. I want to add a water fountain and bench. I want to add long blooming perennials in cool color scheme and boxwood and proper lighting. I want to add a wooden door for front entrance.
A raised flower bed runs along the driveway. Need help with flowers to add a curb appeal.
Walkway to the entrance. A corner flower bed. Need help. Opposite of the flower bed is a narrow and long flower bed. What to use there?
Need help here. Want to place a water fountain in front of the large window. Need plant suggestions.
Making space for a bench. Want to add pebbles.
Half moon shape flower bed in front of entrance. Need help for plant selection.
This is the place I want to add a nice water fountain and pebbles. Also plant selection.
The long and narrow flower bed. Moved the blocks now has brown edging to contain the mulch inside the flower beds.

Color will add so much to your curb appeal. why not go to a landscaping/nursery for their suggestions. They will know what plants will work in the shaded area(s) and the zone where you live

A project this large can seem daunting. A good place to start is your Native Plant Society. Natives are beneficial to your bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds and will have a better survival rate. I wouldalso suggest hiring a designer to help you select the right plants for your space. Designers in California cost about $300 for design only... They charge more for planting/irrigation. You can start with this link: http://www.ncwildflower.org/ Good luck!

I agree with going to a local landscaping/gardening center for advice. The plants to select will vary with the climate and zone you live in, the amount of sunlight in the spot where you want to put plants, the amount of water the plants will require, How much time you can spend taking care of them, how much you can afford to spend, etc. A local landscaping/gardening center can advise you on all this and point you in the right direction.

I totally agree going to the Native Plant Society! As I used to live in N.C. I do have a favorite. Azaleas are wonderful for their color and when their not blooming they are still pretty. Please post pics of the ones that you do plant. Will be watching. Have Fun!!

Be sure you buy mostly perennials so you don't have to replant if you have cold weather.

I agree with Susan R about the azaleas (and maybe camellias) and checking with your Native Plant Society. Looks like you have a lot of shade to consider when selecting your plants.

Yes, I want to place a fountain in front of large window.i had it professionally landscaped twice. The plants out grow and look aweful. This time I wanted someone to help draw a plan that I could finish. Hard to find professionals here who will only draw a plan. Thank you for a lovely comment on house.

Does anyone know a landscape design professional who only draws plans?

Sometimes your local Nursery may have one. We have Armstrong Garden Center, out here, that offers that kind of service. You also may look at an Internet service like Angie's list.
