DIY House Number Display

Hey y'all and happy Monday!
Corey and I have started taking up the carpet and tile that the previous owners had in the house to get ready for some new hardwood and tile for the kitchen. Since we're currently sporting the "painted sub-floor look" I figured I'd turn my attention towards simple ways to improve the exterior of our house while I'm patiently waiting for the floors to be done inside.
I noticed we didn't have any cute house number display going on so I decided to use some of my favorite stain and some wood leftover from a previous project to create one!
Step 1:

Cut the wood down to the size you want it to be and then apply the stain.
Step 2:

Wipe away the excess stain.
Step 3:

Once the stain dried I used a screw driver to attach this picture hanger to hang the sign.

Step 4: (not pictured)

Using a screw driver, I attached the numbers to the wood.

Step 5:

Since I'm dangerous with power tools I had Corey use the drill to attach the screw to the side of the house.
Step 6:

Hang your sign and your done!
What are some of the simple ways you've updated your home?
