Chalkboard Tree Sign

Nikki
by Nikki
I made a chalkboard tree board (not really sure what to call it) as a gift this past Christmas.
Here are the supplies to make the chalkboard portion of this project. I was able to buy everything from Michael’s (if you have a coupon from the flyers you can save 50% of the tree board!). The chalkboard paint I used was DecorArt by Americana. I am actually really impressed with this product. It was six dollars for this bottle but it goes a long way!
First thing you need to do is shake the bottle of chalkboard paint. Then apply TWO coats. One vertically then the next one horizontally. Let it dry one hour in between coats, and 24 hours to be complete dry and ready for chalk.
Here is the finished product!
