This won't heal the cracks but will largely prevent new ones: Spray the leather with CAMP DRY Heavy Duty Water Repellent, a Silicone protection made by Kiwi that comes in a spray can.

Is the sofa made with real leather? If it is and to prevent any more cracking wash it with saddle soap. Try to work as much of the soap in the leather as possible, this will add moisture in the leather and prevent any more cracking. DO NOT rinse. The saddle soap is good for the leather and will soften the leather. This treatment is good for any of your smooth leather items.

try giving a good clean with saddle soap (don't rinse off) then rub really good with Lexol but fixing not sure leather is a live thing and when it dries out pretty hard to repair and look good same with horse saddles must be cleaned...if this works for you then clean once in a while with just saddle soap don't rinse rub with soft dry towel and it will keep the leather great

The main reasons for cracking is the manufacturer problem, body oil and dirt. By avoiding these things, cracking of leather can be avoided to a great extend. In the case of cracked furniture, a professional can either re-dye it or replace parts of the piece, depending on the extent of the damage, to eliminate the problem. My leather sofa which I bought 7 months back from Coja Sofa4life has not yet have any problems like this as I mostly care of it. Always take care of leather furniture a little more.

Hi Jon, you can use “Rub-n-Restore”. It works really, really well and it's super easy to use. It comes in different colors too. It can also be used on vinyl. They have a whole bunch of tutorials on their website -

Hello Jon,

If it is real leather, use Saddle Soap. /Gently rub it in to improve the suppleness of the leather, much as you would use shoe polish on shoes.
