DIY RH French Window Pane Mirror

The Rozy Home
by The Rozy Home
Do you need a really oddly shaped or oversized mirror? Or perhaps you just don't want to spend money on a nice mirror. If you are like me, both of these were an issue. After finding a mirror that I loved, I came up with a way to make my own version - for less than 10% of the cost of theirs! The overall size of the mirror is around 55" h x 30" w - so almost 5 foot tall and 3 foot wide!
Purchase a 1/2" project panel.
Using mirror mastic, attach 12" x 12" mirror tiles to the project panel.
Tape the tiles together to ensure they don't move while drying.
Using liquid nail, attach 1" x 2" select pine boards along the edges of the project panel (which will have the mirrors attached at this point).
Use a clamp to ensure a good bond. Allow the trim to dry (usually around an hour).
Glue cabinet trim along the joints of the mirror (if any glue seeps out, simply remove it with a razor blade after it dries).
Attach cabinet trim along the edge of the mirror
Attach 2" x 2" trim to the edge of the mirror.
Attach quarter round to the edges of the mirror. Sand, paint and dry brush. That's it!
The final product!
