Life in a Cubicle Doesn't Have to Be Drab

Sometimes sitting in a cubicle for 40+ hours means you look at the walls of your office more than you look at the walls of your home, why not give them the same treatment?
Who knew these 4 dry erase boards from the dollar store would become something beautiful.
When I was given the option to try a product from Walls Republic, I was over the moon. This is high quality wall paper and I knew just the thing to do.
The roll was more than I imagined. I absolutely LOVE the texture this paper has to offer.
I started by covering the boards with the wallpaper. I was looking for a way to display pictures without taking up precious desk space but without hanging traditional picture frames on walls.
Knowing that I was going to mimic the look of a clip board, I bought binder clips and painted them with nail polish to give them a more finished look.
I taped the paper to the boards, in hindsight I could have went through the process of using glue but I was unsure how the final results would look. I later realized the wallpaper was very forgiving and masked a lot of my flaws.
This is the office walls I look at day in and day out. Even though they are pleasant (for a cubicle) they lack creativity and the lighting is atrocious. Something had to be done.
I used removable hooks on the wall to hang my pseudo clipboards. These are where I intend on hanging my pictures.
Next, I took an old foam board and covered it with the wallpaper. VOILA - Instant memo board that is light enough to hang on the walls without damaging them.
Don't forget to add a little inspiration.
Finally, I added a desk lamp and the office became attractive.

  • And have you thought about covering the front of the file cabinets with wallpaper? I did that with wrapping paper and it came out great! Just taped on the inside edges.

You totally made this space your own! Love the nail polish on the clamps too- and your message on your memo board is perfect. Such a sweet message at the end too! You're so welcome, I'm so glad you brightened up your space and enjoyed your @Walls Republic paper. :D
