Ceiling Tile Flower Pockets

Cassie
by Cassie
I created these charming little flower pockets from scraps of vintage ceiling tiles and plain wire.
I cut my tile pieces to size, using similar pieces for each pocket.
Painted them using flat, white paint. I wasn't concerned with getting perfect coverage, the tiles were rustic and I liked the slightly chipped look.
I drilled holes in each corner (wear gloves and use a metal bit!)
I added bailing wire to each corner, two short pieces to the bottom corners, and one long piece creating a loop between the top two.
I crimped the corners to keep the dried flowers in, but left the tiles a bit warped and chipped for character!
Easy and adorable. For more projects like this, visit my blog http://www.lovelyweeds.com

Very cute! I'm thinking these could also be done with embossed wallpaper... (for inside use of course)!

@Mehartgallery they definitely could! If you visit my blog post about it, I have links to similar projects using different materials. I'm a sucker for something old, so it had to be tin tiles for me :)
