A Family Room Makeover in Passion Fruit

We moved into our standard colonial home about 8 years ago. Our family room has been a constant work in progress. We started out by adding new flooring and I whitewashed the brick (I have a post on Hometalk and blog of the process). I painted the beams a bright white to add light and height to our ceiling. I just added a pop of color on the walls with the color Passion Fruit by Benjamin Moore!
Here is a picture of the family room as my husband was installing the flooring and prior to the brick being whitewashed.
Here it is today. I painted the walls over the weekend in Passion Fruit and am really happy with the pop of color. Next may be over the mantel - I think a brighter white will work better.
All of the furniture in my family room comes from either the thrift store or estate sales. I take the most abused pieces and refurbish them to give them new life.
The pretty french dresser was a great find from Goodwill (about 10 years ago). Hard to find now!
The chair is actually Ikea. I am looking out for two matching chairs to finish the room off.
I am happy with how the color complements my kitchen's grey/blue hue.
More thrift store finds - the gateleg table is one of my favorites.
I was happy that my curtains went well with the new color scheme! Now on the search for those chairs!
