Mason Jar May Day Gift

Leaving a flowers for neighbors and friends on May Day (May 1st) is a sweet and thoughtful tradition. Here's how to make your own chic and cheap Mason Jar May Day gifts.
I used pint sized Mason Jars, violas, dirt, rocks, twine, Mason Ball Jar Wire Handles, viola seeds and May Tag Tags (below).
Here are the May Day prinables I created. They're watercolor violas and included are two 8 x 10 quotes, suitable for framing and three styles of the Mason Jar tags. Visit my blog http://yesterdayontuesday.com/2015/04/may-day-art-and-tags/ to grab our own.
Step 1: Add the handle. I learned the hard way that this is MUCH easier before you put the flowers in... duh!
Step 2: Add rocks (on the bottom) then dirt and flowers.
Step 3: Add seeds (I just attached them to the back).
Step 4: Cut out a tag, punch a hole and attach to front (this goes with step 3).
So simple and yet so meaningful!
Happy May Day! Visit my blog to score the free printables and for more photos.

Do you have a Mothers' Day tag? Would be perfect for that. Don't celebrate May Day here. It's St. Joseph the Worker's Day instead. Very pretty gift. Thank you.
