Flag Bench

So a friend of mine wanted a flag bench and I had a bunch of really cool old things that I thought would go perfectly together. I just wish that I had taken pics of all the items before we finished it. Lesson learned for the next time!!!
The bench is made from an old door that had a window in it. First time I had done one of these so I was pretty nervous. Also she told me "Americana" and I could make that anything I wanted. No pressure there!
The "rails" are actually from an old crib left over from another project.
The legs were a great find. They were the bases for old folding church pews. The wood they are attached to came with the legs. I left them brown/rusted just because I thought that they were perfect just like that.
The bench seat is reclaimed wood from a dumpster when a local grocery store did some remodeling.
The legs in all their glory!
The window in the door was my favorite part. It was covered in a raised flower pattern. I was really worried that they would still look like "flowers" even after painted but it didn't. It was jut really great texture.
