How I Made a FAKE Distressed Sign Out of a Flap From a Cardboard Box!

2 Materials
2 Hours

I was really, really eager to make a vintage, distressed sign for our country kitchen, but I had no wood! So, I made one from a flap from a cardboard box!!!

Search for Fake cardboard sign for full instructions on "how to"

My old, distressed sign started out looking like this!

Here it is after two coats of white, dry brushed paint.

I created my wordage using "Pic Monkey's" software program and printed it out using the "wax paper" transfer method.

Then, I distressed it a lot!

I had a few cups of coffee, so my hand was really shaky, but the letters didn't turn out too bad!

You can see the full details in the "How To" that is, now, on my blog. Another even easier version has just been posted here on my Hometalk's a Lavender Fields Farm beauty!
