Painted Floral Pillow

I wanted to share this fun Painted Floral Pillow I made over the weekend and love it in our living room for Spring and Summer. Also I think it could a great idea for a gift for Mom, Auntie or Grandma for Mother’s Day too. I mean you can gather your kiddo’s and the paint and let them each paint a pillow and you have their art on your sofa or chair.
This was very easy to make and probably took me an hour total.
The key to painting on fabric is to use Fabric Medium with your craft paint. I used Martha Stewarts and I got it at Michaels for $4.99 with 40% off.
There are easy directions right on the bottle and it says mix 1 part Fabric Medium to 2 parts paint.
Since I was painting a small area and not painting with full coverage I eyeballed and mixed it on my paper plate.
I first drew a flower shape in pencil and then began painting around the edges.
What I love about this is there isn’t a wrong or right and being creative is always fuel for the soul right? I find it very therapeutic too.

Oh and I signed my name so someday when I’m rich and famous someone in my family will inherit this beautiful pillow….lol.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day, Lisa
