Paper Butterfly Mobile & Wreath

My niece found a butterfly mobile on Pinterest that she really liked & asked if I could make it for the nursery. I just so happened to have the perfect butterfly punch from Stampin' Up! already on hand-love when that happens! My son helped me punch out all the butterflies, as I needed about 140 & my hand was killing me after a while!
I wrapped yet another embroidery hoop with white ribbon & used fishing wire to attach the butterflies. I attached 20 lines to the hoop & used both glue dots & hot glue to attach 3-4 butterflies to each line. I used white tulle for hanging above the crib. This would look great in different colors as well, but she wanted to go all white & I love how it turned out. The project was not difficult, just time consuming. I would say it took about 4 hours to complete, but most of that was just punching & attaching the butterflies!
I also made a butterfly wreath to go along with it. I used thick white yarn & finger knitted a long scarf & simply wrapped it around a Dollar Store foam wreath. I hot glued larger butterflies & added rhinestones as it needed a little bling. As she is going with white, yellow & gray in the nursery, I added a yellow ribbon for hanging.
