Organizing Food Storage Containers

This is how I organized our food storage containers. They had become a bit of a hazard, so it was time to get them back in shape. I also wanted to make the top two shelves of this cabinet a dedicated space for food storage containers only. No Happy Meal Toys. No blenders. No leftover spice packets from the pizza place. Can you relate?
Here's what the cabinet looked like before. All kinds of random things were randomly stored in this cabinet. It made it hard to find stuff, and when I did want to use a food storage container, I usually had a bunch of stuff fall out onto the floor. This created chaos, frustration, and a bruised ego. More than once.
I started by pulling everything out. I tried to group the storage containers by type before putting them back into the cabinet.

Thanks, Barbara! The containers are from the Dollar Spot at Target. I think I bought them a year or two ago, but I see similar containers there every once in a while.

I can't remember how many times and how many ways I have tried to organize plastic containers. This has given me inspiration to try again.
I am emptying out all the containers tonight and will begin sorting and rearranging them back into the cupboard tomorrow. Thanks.
