Outdoor paint for concrete
-
Ricardo Martinez Ramos on May 12, 2015hi there, seeing pictures would help but it sounds like it may be an old oil based glue, like some used to stick lino. they are hard to remove but not impossible. there are excellent products in the market for this task, however if you are happy with just painting over it my guess is that any concrete paint will do the job just fine. again, pictures would be best to get an idea of the problem.Helpful Reply

Dottie Unruh on May 12, 2015I removed residual glue from a surface by making a paste of Cascade dishwasher detergent in powdered form. Apply generously to the glue, then cover with a damp towel and wait 24 hours. The glue should come up with a scraper. You can also use a heat gun to soften it, and scrape it up (but that's messier). You probably could paint over the glue, but I would try removing the glue first; you'll get a much nicer job.Helpful Reply
