Modern Entryway Makeover

We recently gave our neglected entryway a makeover ... in five weeks! The before was OK, but way too red, disorganized, and impersonal for us.
Here's the {very red} and very neglected BEFORE:
We started by painting the walls white with a fun chevron accent on the upper part of our 'nook':
Our nook when from a mess with a bench that was much too small to a clean, organized and functional space ... with a new built in bench!
We stuck with a black and white palette as the base, but added in a dark Kona stain for the bench and storage crates, and a few fun pops of color.
We also added a fun picture ledge to display fun art, pictures, and pretty things with a custom coat rack underneath complete with all sorts of mismatched hooks and knobs:
And, finally ... some faux antique HOME letters with a fun black and white vase with some pops of yellow:
