Repurposed Singer Sewing Machine

I know many of you LOVE these old machines and have them in your family. This was a thrift store find and it was in very rough shape. I am in the business of repurposing-not restoring. If you find these posts ruffle your feathers, please don't take it personally. I would not redo my Nana's sewing machine that is in good working order or was loved and cared for.
Repurposed Singer sewing machine into a lovely new useful piece of furniture.
This is the before. The top was in such bad shape, even after sanding and some TLC it was not salvageable to restore and or refinish. Paint WAS the only option.
All of the wooden parts got a good coat of my DIY chalky paint primer with my Homeright Finish Max.
I did some raised stenciling to give it a little more detail, and I added glass knobs from my friends at D.Lawless Hardware.
When the top is closed, no one will even know what beauty lies beneath.
