I have several 8' large blue water pipes that I would like to be creative with. I live at the coast. Any ideas, suggestions?

My thought was to paint them. Lay them on their side, drill holes just big enough to drop down a terracotta pot inside and plant flowers! The pots you get would need to have a lip on them so they dont fall in, and then a hole in the bottom for drainage when watering the plants! It would look pretty and serve a purpose too!

I can't get the picture to load. If you google search blue water pipes you will see what they look like. They are the pipes that the City uses to put water lines in. 12"-16" diameter

Donate them to Habitat for Humanity or for use in country that needs water supply.. better than a water fountain in the garden or organizers..you can right the value off your taxes.

Friend has a steep slope with garbage soil in part of his yard. He just dug the tubes in, filled with good soil and planted flowers in them. Did his in a pattern of three. The turquoise was a real colour boost on their own on this desolate slope. The addition of flowers made them more so.
