So I was going to install/cut holes for my tub faucet and shower handle. Then call my plumber to install all the value stuff. Is cutting these holes harder than I think it is???

You need a very accurate measuring tape and depending on the fct. style... one or two appropriated sized hole saw (with the guide bit in the center)...or let your plumber do it. They have the tools and it only takes them a couple minutes!

@SC'83 Just let him do it!! He won't charge you more and if he messes it up then he's the one that has to pay the consequences for it : )

That depends on what the tub is made of, but assuming it is composite or fiberglass, it is not that hard, assuming you have a hole saw. You only get one chance, so be positive that you have the hole position correct, and measure three times, not just two.....

It's not that difficult, but I agree, If you're calling a plumber anyway let him do it but make sure you get a licensed one. I learned the hard way. When I had my shower redone turned out the dumb-ass put the head too short , unless u are 4' tall. Had to hire yet another guy. Turned the one guy in but he skipped town so they couldn't get anything out of him, but he is on their watch list. It was a long expensive lesson.
