Add a decorative touch to your patio or home by making a rose petals luminary. Impress your friends with this easy to make craft using clear plastic spoons, loose rose petals, hot glue and a very large round glass container. For a complete and easy tutorial visit: http://purplehuesandme.com/2015/05/lilac-rose-petals-luminary.html
First, cut off the handles from the plastic spoons . . .
and next apply hot glue or tacky glue to the bowl area of the spoon and add on the petals. I started using tacky glue but soon switched to hot glue to eliminate the drying time and to speed things along.
Glue the spoon petals on starting at the top rim.
Be sure to overlap the petals.
Continue gluing on the petals around the glass container.
Stagger the next row of petals between the first and continue staggering each row of petals.
Midway, turn container upside down to make it easier to glue the remaining petals on. Leave space on the bottom to glue on a row of plain petals without the spoon bowl so that the glass container can sit flat on the surface.
Insert a LED flameless candle and you're all set.
What an eye-catching accent to any décor, inside or out, day or night!

Wow love this what a great idea for a table centre

I wonder if this would work, sticking the spoon petals onto a round plastic bowl, cutting a hole in the centre and using it as a lampshade? Worth a try I think.

The only thing I wonder is if the heat of the light bulb would make the glue come loose...Good idea though. I think it would stick to a paper lantern.
