Vintage Teacup Planters Tutorial

These sweet vintage teacup planters make great hostess gifts or are a cute way to brighten up your home!
First you'll need to find yourself some vintage china, I find most of mine from local charity shops so it's a lot cheaper than you'd imagine.
The teacups need to be filled with stones for drainage before you add your plant, there's no drainage holes at the bottom so you want to make sure your plants don't get over watered. Soggy plants are not a great gift to recieve!
Once you've added your plant make sure you fill in the rest of the cup with soil and water your plant in carefully. Ta-da! Your tea cup planter is looking gorgeous! For more hints including advice on plants do check out my original blog post

I drilled holes in the bottoms of thrift store coffee mugs and latte bowls. Then I glued strong magnets onto bases (not blocking the holes). The result was small planters that I could place onto my iron balcony railing - perfect for portulaca, nasturtiums. miniature tomato and pepper plants
