Using Fusion Mineral Paint to Update a Thrift Store Jewelry Box

Last month I went to my first ever blog conference, the Snap Conference, and received a sample of Fusion Mineral Paint in Champness, a beautiful blue that reminds me a little of CeCe Caldwell’s Memphis Blue that I love so much. Ever since, I’ve been looking for something to try it out on.
I found this cute little jewelry box at Goodwill.
After one coat of paint and just a little distressing here’s what it looked like.
I did think the surface looked a little flat so after it dried I applied a thin coat of Minwax Express in Walnut and wiped it off. I like how it highlighted the brush strokes and other details.

Leave me a comment if you’ve used Fusion. I’d love to hear about your experience and see photos!
