Colorful Coastal Cottage Dining Room Reveal

It's been a very long process completing this dining room transformation. Life had given me several hiccups and stops along the way. Finally, my colorful coastal cottage dining room is done and I couldn't be happier with the results.
I can't get over how much I love this room now. We have come a long way my friend. This colorful room has several coastal themed accents that are pumped up with vibrant colors found throughout the room.
Here is the dining room before. It was a sea of darkness! The dark wood of the cabinet along with the dark dining set made this room look horrid. Who would want to eat dinner in here?
First thing was to paint the room a nice silvery blue color and replace the dark cabinet with a bright, cheery painted buffet table.
I used several thrift store pieces to adorn the wall. These are plate chargers!
The buffet was styled very simply with some glass containers, florals, and my DIY ginger jar made from a dollar store vase. Check out the tutorial here, http://www.casawatkins.net/2015/05/make-your-own-diy-ginger-jar.html
Can't be coastal without some sea themed accents. I love placing starfish in random places. My kids love to find them as if they're on a treasure hunt.
Here is a view of the table decor and small gallery wall. I used some new purchases, thrift store pieces, and some repurposed votive candle holders to make this small gallery wall.
