What can I do with a bedroom window on our backyard patio?

I have a window on my backyard patio. I am thinking about putting some curtains up to it on the outside to dress it up a bit. Has anyone ever done that?

  @Marion Nesbitt Thanks so much. I hung a scarf curtain made out of an outdoor BHG tablecloth. We will see how it holds up. It gives a lot of color. I hope to submit a picture soon.

Treated canvas fabric. DIY or store-bought shutters or painted fabric panel inserts? Although I have not seen outdoor curtains, there is a store called outdoor curtains. these curtains have grommets. you might get some ideas looking at their website.

Visit a stained glass store and consider replacing the window. Interesting textured glass that allow light to transmit but still give privacy.

Yes, I have gotten several responses. Thanks everyone. I decided to hang a window scarf I made out of a BHG outdoor tablecloth. I will try to submit a picture soon.

JoAnn's or Home Depot have Contact type privacy designs. I use it on my side door which is all glass on the top half and affords a view into my kitchen from the street. I get the light but don't lose the privacy. It is easy to cut and apply.
