DIY Console Table

Who loves a good console table?? How about one with only $25 in lumber!! This is a super simple build and is made out of 2X4 and 1X6 pine. I know a lot of people don't think about building furniture with 2X4's but if finished right, it can look beautiful and save you a lot of money (always an added bonus).
To begin, I cut my boards according to the cut list (printable PDF on my blog).
Then, I drilled the pocket holes according to the plans. If you have never used a pocket hole jig, I highly recommend it!! They are simple to use, and make joining two boards together fast and sturdy.
Then, I started to assemble the table. I began by making the two leg supports. They are basically two rectangles held together with pocket hole screws.
Next, I attached the leg supports together with the table top supports.
The body of the table is complete! I then took my 1X6 boards and attached them together with pocket hole screws.
I attached the completed top to the base by screwing wood screws through the table base into the top. I stained my table with a very light coat of Kona by Rust-Oleum, which I immediately wiped off to keep the color on the lighter side.
I hoped you enjoyed this build. Check out my blog for a complete step by step build and free PDF plans so you can build one of these tables for yourself!!

Thanks for reading!!
