perriwinkle, will have sweet little blueish purple flowers. I brought a few pieces from my Mom's garden about 13 years ago and it has filled 8' x 8' garden. Does well in sun or shade.

Creeping Myrtle, I have a pot of it around/under my mailbox...it makes neat wreaths if you trim the long trailing New growth and braid it into a round shape. Lasts for months, longer if you spray polyurethane or paint it. Made one a silver pewter color for my cousin's vacation rental apartment. Guests love it. Simple and different, y'know?

Cinda minor, also called periwinkle. Has lovely little blue flowers in spring. Does well in both sun or shade but best to protect it from full midday sun unless you keep it well watered. Don't water the leaves too much, though, or the tips will get a fungus and die back.

Definitely Vinca and definitely will 'hide' from sun under other things. Had in the bed in front of my house, and was hiding under Gardenias and house siding too. Planted as a ground cover. Redid the bed, dug it up, and put it in pots and hanging baskets on covered patio. Likes this area better.

I have two varieties of this plant (vinca minor, creeping myrtle, periwinkle)...one is the green like you have and it does prefer shade or part shade and is liable to get sooty mold on it in the winter time if there is a lot of rain. I go in and clip off the affected plants and throw them in the garbage so the mold doesn't spread. The other variety has a varigated leaf and seems to do fine in the sun...both have lovely periwinkle flowers in the spring.

We had our vinca in an enclosed bed. It kept crawling out over the cement, but was easy to trim it back to the bed. Loved the little blue flowers it produced. It is very aggressive and will spread fast. Our flower bed was in shade half the day so it did great.

Does it have flowers? If so probably vinca. I have a very similar vine, no flowers and its fig ivy. Covers my huge wall at the lake.
