Two Tone Card Catalog Finished in Old Fashioned Milk Paint

I had found a vintage wooden card catalog for sale at a local university surplus sale. I had wanted one forever! It was a very reasonable price, so I had it loaded into the truck and brought home. I have had it in the basement for over a year waiting to be transformed.
We recently were doing a bit of brightening up in the basement room and I thought it would be a good time to freshen up the card catalog as well.
This is a before shot. It was in great shape, but it just needed a bit of contrast and character. So, I started by removing all the drawers.
I used Old Fashioned Milk Paint in Pitch Black. This is some amazing paint! Love that a little goes a long way. Once it was dry I used Daddy Van's Lavender Wax to seal.
I added some coordinating paper to the drawer fronts.
And here is a view of it completed.
I am co-host of the Fab Furniture Flippin' Contest and this month's sponsor was Old Fashioned Milk Paint. I did receive compensation for this campaign, but my opinion of OFMP is my own. Please read the full tutorial post in the link.
