Window Flower Box

I have lots of old windows. Some with glass and some without. This was a quick little project that allows you to have a window flower box anywhere you want because it comes with its own window!
I took the glass out of the window (to make it lighter and safer) then we took a dresser drawer (from a previous project) to attach the window to it. Encased the drawer with slab wood we got from a local saw mill. You know the part they shave off with the bark on it. Believe it or not most places just burn this stuff but if you just ask you can usually get it for free or VERY cheap.
I got a vanity light from the thrift store, turned it upside down and glued tinted pickle jar lids to the sockets. Then I took the pickle jars and tinted them with mod-podge and food coloring. After gluing in solar lights, I just place the jars over the lights, screw to the lid and they are secured on. Next I used some legs from an old table, cut them down to size and secured them in place.
At night you get a soft blue glow over your flowers.
