Hi guys! Sorry, long time no post :) We've been busy working on our new podcast series. If you want to check that out head over to our blog - we don't post it here because, well, it's not really a 'project' - but instead a spot for us to talk about projects.
Anyway - we're back with a post today! Not only that - but it's Dan's first ever entry... (Seriously, isn't he the cutest?!? Sorry ladies, he's spoken for :P)
This month, the theme was Scrap Wood.
Here's the before (and a very dorky looking me in the mirror). A basic big box store mirror. This one actually was left in our house when we moved in. And there you can see a few of our scrap boards beside it. They were salvaged when we pulled out some old built-ins in our hallway a few months ago and they were already painted.
Here's the real pile we were choosing from. Dan decided to put his thinking cap on and blend the leftover mirror and the leftover wood into one fabulous free and scrappy project!
A few measurements and cuts on the table saw.
A little bit of wood glue and Kreg Jig (LOVE that tool!!)
And voila! A rustic and functional (and did we mention free and scrappy?) addition to our upstairs hallway :D

For the full deets, head over to www.diypassion.com - and since it's a - there's a whole bunch of other great scrap wood projects for you to check out as well. As always, thanks for reading and chat soon - Erin & Dan
