Tie Dye Technique: Create Designs With Glue and Stencils

This year I'm trying out a fun technique: creating designs with glue and stencils. Keep reading to learn how easy this technique is, and how you can tie dye your summer!
Supplies:

One-Step Tie Dye Kit

White t-shirt

School Glue (I used the blue one, as it was easier to see)

Stencil

Pillow Insert
Place the stencil on the fabric. Fill the design with the glue. Let the glue dry completely. See the rest of the tutorial on my site!
I sewed my fabric into a simple throw pillow. You could also turn it into wall art, a bag, or anything else you can imagine! I plan to try this with some pants, next, to create a beautiful piece of clothing. It’s so easy to do that you won’t be able to stop once you’ve tried this technique!

Can we do this on walls?

I would love to try this technique. When I went to your blog for the rest of the directions, I could not find it. I went through all 12 pages of your tutorials, and didn't find it there either. Is this post so old that you might have gotten rid of it? I'm really curious about how you tie dyed the material after you used the glue to make your stencil design.

Wow! Looks terrific! Please post after you do the pants. I wonder how the glue would hold up to washing? I may try it with latex paint on fabric!

I believe you want the glue to washout you don’t need it any longer.
