DIY Budget Backyard Makeover
Our backyard was a blank canvas when we bought our house. Gravel, weeds, and an unfortunate looking fence.
Last year, we brought it to life by DIYing a deck and a paver patio, planting grass and a garden, and building some low-cost furniture for eating and lounging. Pallets were our best friend, and worked perfectly for the two of us and the occasional backyard BBQ.
A year later, we decided to step it up a notch and make the space more conducive to entertaining. We swapped our pallet chair for built in benches, built a bright coffee table, stained the fence, purchased a larger dining table, and added some new pillows to our collection.
We love the way it turned out, and our guests do too!
It's not perfect, but it's a big improvement over the gravel that was previously there.
Next up on the list of improvements to this space: Fill in the patchy grass, stain the deck so it matches the benches, and purchase a colorful umbrella for our dining table.
