Jewelry Display

I made a lot of jewelry from old cutlery over the past month. In order to showcase these on craft shows, I needed a jewelry display for necklaces and so I finally got around to upcycle a wine box, which I had laying around for almost a year. The line between crafters and hoarders is sometimes very thin, especially when one makes much upcycling and so I am always proud when I can once again prove to myself that it is sometimes useful to keep things that many other people would throw away.
There are probably not many of you that need a jewelry display but for those of you that woke up this morning with the sudden urge to build one, I made this tutorial.
Finished!
As material you need a small wine box.
First I sawed the wine box in two halves...
...and then painted both with colors that I had lying around.
Next, I placed the bottom half of the box upside down, put the upper half upright on one end and then predrilled holes where I wanted the two halves to be connected later.
At the top of the upright half I drilled on the back a lot of small holes ...
...and then screwed eight different round hooks into the holes.
Next I screwed the two halves together, as announced ...
... and finally I've glued a small wooden sign with my "label" over the hooks. Now I only had to wrap the necklaces around the hooks and lay out a couple of longer necklaces on the bottom part.

What a gorgeous way to display your jewelry! I would probably wear so many more pieces that I have buried away if they were stored like this.

@Hannah V Thanks :-) Actually, while I was arranging my handmade jewelry for a craft show, one of my necklaces suddenly looked so nice that i had to keep it! It didn´t make the trip to the craft show ;-)
