Driftwood Heart Art {A Tutorial}

This Coastal-Inspired Valentine's Day project is my little reminder of our vacations at the beach. With a few supplies such as cardboard, hot glue, twine and pieces of driftwood, you can create your own sweet, little driftwood heart art.
I started off with a piece of cardboard that I cut into the shape of a heart, pieces of driftwood, hot glue and twine.
I hot glued the driftwood pieces to the outside edges of the cardboard heart first. Then, I began filling in and making my way towards the center.
Once I was happy with how it looked, I covered the outside edge of the cardboard with twine, also using my hot glue gun.
The last step was to mount the heart on the piece of beadboard using (you guessed it) hot glue. That part is optional but it helps to keep it upright when you have it sitting on a shelf.
Oh yeah... the real last step is to sit back, admire your project, and remember your heart belongs at the beach.
