And I have painted my walls a Irish cream color and what to paint my cabinets a country blue or gray and can't find the color that I am looking for, please help.

Do you have a piece of fabric, paper, cushion or another object the colour you want? I have taken advantage of colour matching at big box stores lots of times, and it is great. The only time it wasn't very successful was in a more expensive paint store...but the technology has improved since then. I found that shiny objects or fabrics are hard to colour match. A pic would be a great start off point if you could post one. If you live in a mobile home, be careful of painting your cabinets too dark of a country blue. One of my Brother in Laws painted his kitchen cabs a country blue years back, in his older mobile home, it just looked like it was taking over in such a small space. It would have been more relaxed looking if he would have used the country blue as just an accent color in there. He later felt like he was stuck with the color. He ended up selling it. Good luck!

I think a nice shade of light green would be nice with the Irish cream walls, or even a beautiful sand color !

For anyone that's planning on doing any painting or working with colors I highly recommend getting a thing call a "paint fan deck". My favorite is the Professional Colors paint deck from Sherwin Williams. They gave me my first one free but I see where they can charge as much as $25. The paint fan has every color and hue that they can mix - over a 1000 colors. I have lived in a mobile home. There is a tendency for everything to look kind of green or yellow because of the typical mobile home windows and fittings. I would avoid green paint. A nice blue like Benjamin Moore's Bachelor Blue with the Benjamin Moore Silver Mist in a striae or glaze treatment over it would look beautiful on cabinetry, and with an Irish cream wall paint. Behr's Swiss Coffee is a washed-out Irish cream color, and it is frequently paired with country/dusty blues with great results. As we age, our eye lenses yellow, which means we tend to see things as more yellowed than they are. I like to move away from greens and golds, and more toward blues and pinks in this case. I live in a cabin surrounded by trees, so the natural light here is very green-tinged (and it makes my criminally pale skin look sallow - ugh). I am slowly ditching all my lovely french green, emerald green, and celadon green decor, and replacing it with crisp blue and white with coral accents. Everything is starting to look much more crisp and lively in here. Good luck decorating your home! I had a good time decorating my ancient mobile home with a fresh, cottage theme years ago. Painting over that paneling first thing made an enormous difference, and the whitewashed surfaces looked so much cleaner and more open. More modern mobile homes have kitchens even easier to redecorate and freshen.

Bev, I also live in a mobile home, what type of paint did you use and what did you do with the strips that cover the joint where the panels join. I want to paint so much, I hate the walls.

I am a great fan of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I have painted my cabinets with it, white on top and a blued grey green on the bottom. See attached. You might check out the colors. Kind of pricey but covers well and no priming or sanding needed see the photo.
